Lenten prayers for trafficked people

Lent is a favourable season for opening the doors to all those in need and recognizing in them the face of Christ.

~ Pope Francis, Message for Lent 2017

Lent is a season for deepening our spiritual life through fasting, prayer and almsgiving. It is a journey of conversion, during which we seek to rediscover the gift of God’s word, to be purified of our sins and to serve Christ present in our brothers and sisters in need.

As we stand in solidarity with trafficked people, we offer these Lenten prayer resources focussed on human trafficking.  We ask one and all to join us in praying for the many people trafficked and enslaved.  We ask you to spend time in reflection, on your own and with your communities, on what you can do to eradicate what Pope Francis has called a “shameful and intolerable crime”.
